Description

We developed an AI-powered assistive application designed to help visually impaired individuals better understand their surroundings. The app focuses on indoor object detection and provides real-time audio feedback through four different modes: object detection, person detection, color recognition, and currency recognition. The aim of the project was to improve independence and accessibility for visually impaired users. Using computer vision, the application can detect common indoor objects, recognize people nearby, identify colors, and read PKR currency notes. The main benefit of the project is demonstrating how AI and computer vision can be used to create practical assistive technology that improves the quality of life for visually impaired individuals.
